I am back but nobody cares!

Hi ya!

it's been a long time, isn't it? I know that nobody will notice and/or care but anyway so it is!

Was just thinking instead of doing useless stuff the whole day, I could make a bit of this useless stuff public, 'cause as everybody knows non-information wants to be free and pollute our data-sphere! So I will help... Oh by the way you might not know, I am not in Singapore any more, I moved to the UK about a year ago to do a PhD here! Working on ALife stuff... but that's not the point here, I think, so I will refrain speaking to much 'bout this kind of stuff, I will have to do a proper academic style webpage for that... damn... Anyway that was it and I hope I will see you soon!

Ants and Vocabulary

I am at the moment having a great time in a student exchange program in Singapore where I am having my final year ( nobody cares... ). So this semester I am doing a end of study project about some ant algorithm stuff ( or better said about slamming ant algorithmes ) and stumbled during my paper reading on some quite interresting words I'd like to share with everbody ... So the first one is a bit technical :

Stigmergy : A way of communicating between individuals by interfering with the environment

Example : I am on a skiing trip in Obersdorf (Fellhorn), I find a nice new spot no one went there before me, so I open the spot. Then a guy comes along, didn't see me opening the spot but notices the track I left in the snow, and follows then. This is a stigmergic way of communication because I don't tell the guy about the spot ( oh no I wouldn't tell him....) but I still communicate with him through my track (at least it is like that that I understood it...)

Then second one which actually is really nice and almost usefull :

Thigmotactism : A tendency to follow walls

Example : actually wouldn't need one but I will still gice U one if U are a bit slow. Imagine the same skier who followed my tracks just before thought that he is cleverer than me and dessides to go a bit of my good tracks to open some other pure powder, and the sudenly! Arf! a cliff in front of him ... oki he is not bad so able to stop on top of it ... but he is damn lazy and doesn't want to walk up the mountains and dessides that the easyiest way of geting back to a slope is to follow the cliff .... this is thigmotactic behavior!

So now that U know those 2 marvelous words, use them and each time U find an application for them let me know .....

Hmmmm this is my first post.... so lets explain what I wanna do here .... actually I don't really know .... maybe just put some little stuff which gets into my lousy brain and I should write down befor I forget... so I will just warn U about some stuff :

• I often say, think, write, nonsens ... it a sort of way of life I think, so if you don't understand...... U can try asking me to explain better if you think it is interessting, else just ignore it...
  
• My writing is lousy, if U haven't noticed yet, lots of mistakes, so if U see some and find that it is bad and U are choked and stuf... tel me then will maybe correct it... what do U expect I am a lazy scientific, ask me some maths crap, I will know but gramatic and stuff... useless....
• One last thing, right now am writing english, but actually could happen that some post are in other languages, or with words or sentences in other languages... could be due to some identity problems of me so be warned....
